HOURS:
Free Store Open: Tuesday & Saturay 9 am to 11 am
Sorting: Monday 6-8 pm; Tuesday 11 am to 1 pm
Donations: We are so sorry, but because of the overwhelming generosity of the community we are asking our supporters to hold their clothing and household donations during the month of August. We need some time to get through the excess we have right now. The Free Store will begin receiving donations again after September 1 during regular Free Store hours and sorting time (see side bar for current hours.) Blessings!
Free Store at The Well
Our Free Store allows Fayette County families to shop for clothing and household items at no cost to themselves.
At the Free Store we will practice the Biblical principle of “freely received, freely given.” Donated items are graciously accepted and passed on to friends in need.
The Free Store at The Well opened to the public on September 5, 2009. Since then we have registered over 900 households as shoppers in the Free Store.
Monthly ChallengesThe Free Store team issues monthly challenges to participating churches and other organizations. Items are collected throughout the month and the following month they are distributed to Free Store shoppers as a special gift. Download the next challenge:
These monthly challenges have been a demonstration of the power of the Church working together.
| S P A C E R | Free Store PolicyThe Free Store is open to the public. Everone is welcome. Shoppers complete a short application with contact information and listing the members of their household. Each adult shopper can fill a 13 gallon bag plus carry out one item and they can shop as often as they like. Personal care items, cleaning items, bedding and towels are offered upon request as available.
