The Well collaborated with Community Action Commission of Fayette Co and the Ohio Benefit Bank to bring FREE Income Tax Filing to the community during the 2009 filing season.
Working together, we were able to assist over 80 clients in completing and filing their 2009 Federal and Ohio income tax returns - claiming over $100,000 in tax credits and refunds and saving local residents an estimated $24,000 in tax preparation fees.
We can continue to assist taxpayers in filing back taxes too meet filing requirements and claim credits and refunds they may still have coming.

Ohio Benefit Bank is a web based software application created to help eligible Ohioans apply for and receive benefits, tax credits, and other services.
Free federal and Ohio income tax assistance for those earning under $57,000 per year, including:

- Refunds within 7-10 days
- Direct deposit of refunds
- Split direct deposit of refunds
- Back taxes (up to three years)
- Free assistance with claiming federal tax credits, including the:
Free assistance with claiming work support public benefits, including:
- Food Assistance
- Ohio Works First (cash assistance)
- Healthy Start and Healthy Families (health insurance)
- Medicaid(health insurance)
- Child Care Subsidies
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LI-HEAP)
The OBB also offers a new self-service web site for free federal and Ohio income tax preparation and electronic filing for Ohio households with incomes under $57,000 per year.
